How Vision Academy Helps Your Child

Vision Academy is our weekly after school clubhouse-style meeting of children who are visually impaired and blind in Kindergarten, First or Second Grade. The group aims to integrate children from the public school, home-school and private school settings all with different types of vision loss!

Utilizing our creative play space, the children have the opportunity to socialize and refine skills they have learned in school including using technology, magnification and Braille. Students are given the opportunity to refine Orientation and Mobility skills on our outdoor obstacle course and play catch with beeping balls! Using age appropriate, kid-friendly recipes, the students often times can be found making cookies or exploring the different ways to mix and make slime!

Every week is a new adventure at Vision Academy!
